Obituary for Caroline Trent Duncan

Caroline Trent  Duncan
Caroline Trent Duncan, 68, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at her home. She was born in Newport, RI on May 27, 1945, the daughter of the late Talmadge and Gertrude (Loveall) Trent. A 1963 graduate of Knightstown High School, Carol worked for many years at the Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home, where she “adopted” many children. She loved her family, racing (Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. were favorites), relaxing on her boat, and her dogs Peppy and Rudy.
She is survived by her longtime and loving companion Hayden Butler of Knightstown; a brother, Mike (Karen) Trent of Knightstown; a daughter, Gayle Gilliam of Knightstown; a son, Bob (Angela) Huckeby of Charlottesville; two granddaughters, Kristen Gilliam and Bonnie Huckeby; and a grandson, Robert Huckeby.
Calling will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Care on Main Street in Knightstown. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 1, at the funeral home with Pastor Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
