James A. Roberts, 77, of Muncie, passed away August 12, 2013. He was born September 22, 1935 in Rush County, IN to Hazel and Alva Roberts. James retired from Rock-Tenn Co. in Eaton, IN and also served in the United States Army from 1956-1958.
Survivors include sons, James (Christine) Roberts Jr., Charles (Tammi) Roberts, Dennis (Vicki) Roberts, and Jon (Teresa) Roberts, his daughter, Kristi (Walter) Hart, a brother, Tom Roberts, and his sisters, Donna Roberts, Marge Clay, Dorothy VanDyne, and Virginia Stearns, 13 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte; his parents, Hazel and Alva Roberts; a son, Robert Roberts; his sisters, June Cannell and Margaret Roberts; a granddaughter, Savannah Roberts; and in-laws, Helen and Bernard Caldwell.
Services will be held at 10AM Saturday, August 17th, at Warrington Church of the Nazarene in Wilkinson, IN. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Friday, August 16th, at Heritage Funeral Care, Knightstown, IN where friends are welcome to visit. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, IN, with Paul Linton and Doug Wall presiding.
