Karen “Sue” Trumbo, 60, a long-time Carthage resident, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Greenfield, IN. Karen was born in Perry Co, IN on March 3, 1953 to the late Earl Trumbo and Cora Cash Trumbo. She worked for Pitney Bowes as a Supervisor of Shipping and Receiving. She loved her family and friends dearly and was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football.
Sue will be greatly missed by her brother, Wayne (Christine) Trumbo; two sisters, Jayne (David) Pyle, and Janet Young; eight nieces, Michelle (Rob) Hamilton, Nicki (Scott) Fentress, Melissa (Bug) Billow, Gracelynn Cline, Chelsea and Chassidy Hamilton and Kayla and Kara Billow; four nephews, Christopher Pyle, JD Pyle, Michael Young and Devin Hamilton and a cat Bandit. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her life partner Sylvia Sammons and her dog Missy.
Calling for Sue will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday, November 14 at Heritage Funeral Care, Knightstown. Private services for Sue will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 15 at Heritage Funeral Care. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, with Chaplain Katherine Murray presiding. Memorial contributions may go to Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Unit.
