Robert E. Walda 89, passed away May 19, 2015 in Indianapolis. He was born on November 7, 1925 in Knightstown to the late Clarence and Maude (McCorkle) Walda. He was a 1944 graduate of Knightstown High School. He is a WWII Army veteran who was stationed in Germany. He was member of the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. Bob was an old business owner in Knightstown of C&W Service station. He enjoyed playing euchre, pool and golfing.

Bob will be missed by his daughter Sue Nigh, two brothers Richard and Larry Walda, four grandchildren Scott and Robert Nigh, Brian and Kurtis Walda and two great grandchildren Brandy and Alexis Walda.

In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mildred “Mert,” a son Michael Walda and son-in-law Steven Nigh.

Services for Bob will be Friday May 22, 2015 at 3PM at HERITAGE FUNERAL CARE in Knightstown and friends may call from 1PM until time of service. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery with military honors.
