Obituary for Alma "Eldean" Gorman (Welch)

Alma “Eldean” Gorman, 88, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Alma was born in Menafee Co. Kentucky on February 17, 1925 to the late Robert and Alfa Retta (Swanigan) Welch. She married Gerand on January 22, 1946. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and quilting. She worked at Hancock Memorial Hospital for 21 years as a housekeeper.
She will be greatly missed by 2 daughters, Loretta Winter of Greenfield, Linda and husband Bob Medley of St. Pete, FL, 4 grandchildren, Bryan Winter of Greenfield, IN, Dale Bruner of Fountaintown, IN, Malissa Young of Cheyenne, WY and Jeremy Winter of Moorseville, IN; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alfa Retta Welch; her husband Gerand; a grandson Tony Bruner; 4 sisters, Lillie Daniels, Anna Downs, Edna Couch and Kathleen Bashford.
Services for Eldean will be held at the funeral home, Thursday May 2, 2013 at 1PM. Friends may visit from 11AM until time of service. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Heritage Funeral Care of Knightstown is assisting the family.
