Grace L. Carter, 95, of Chesterfield, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, surrounded by family at home in Chesterfield. Grace was born in Grassy Creek, KY to the late William and Elizabeth (Crouch) Bundy on February 22, 1918. She married Ollie James in 1936. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had integrity and loved to care for others. She loved to garden, sew, cook and loved to just plain give.
She will be missed by her daughter, Sue (David) Lane of Chesterfield; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie; a son, Gary Carter; 3 daughters, Betty L. Carter-Rose, Chloe F. Carter-Knight and Nella Gray Carter.
Services for Grace will be Tuesday, January 21 at 2 pm with calling Monday 4-8 pm at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
