Obituary for Mary Lindsay

Mary  Lindsay
Mary Lindsay 92, of Knightstown passed away Thursday December 31, 2015 in Indianapolis. She was born May 7, 1923 to the late Martin Luther and Lola Berneice (Geise) Hitchel in Fayette County, Indiana. She married Arthur Lee Lindsay November 4, 1943. Mary was a member of the Knightstown Bethel Presbyterian. She was a woman who loved her church and church family. She was part of the United Presbyterian Women’s organization, serving as Elder, Deacon, Clerk, Secretary, Sunday school teacher and member of Bible study groups.
Mary will be greatly missed by her children John David Lindsay, Lisette Marie Lindsay Drummond and Sharon Lee Lindsay Clark; sisters, Fay Iris Hitchel Patrick and Cora Francis Hitchel Gault; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 4 brothers; John Martin, Frank Eugene “Mike”, Calvin Edward “Jim” and Jerod Lee “Jerry” Hitchel and 2 sisters; Helen Lucille Hitchel Knarr and Ethel Janet Hitchell Reed.
A graveside service will be held Monday January 4, 2016 in Glen Cove Cemetery at 2:30PM with Rev. Peter Zinn to preside. In memory of Mary donations may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church of Knightstown. HERITAGE FUNERAL CARE entrusted with all arrangements.
