Obituary for Rhea McNalcus "Ray" "Buddy" Barrick

Rhea “Ray” “Buddy” McNalcus Barrick, Jr., 74 of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday April 24, 2016 at Community North Hospital. He was born on January 3, 1942 to the late Rhea M. and Doris (Milligan) Barrick in Indianapolis, IN. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1960 and also served in the U.S. Army. He spent his years working as a finance and sales manager in auto sales. He was known around the city as “Drive Away Ray.” He enjoyed bowling, family poker night and playing on softball leagues with his boys.
Ray will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 32 years Nancy J. (Hobbs) Barrick; his children, Everette “Gene” Eugene (Morgan) Sasser, Kevin Michael (Kebra) Sasser, Kristin Dawn Anderson and Michael Fitzpatrick; siblings, David K. Barrick, Vernon A. Milligan Jr. “Mick,” Steven Milligan, Lana J. Allen and Donna Rae Engledow; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by a nephew David Barrick and a grandchild Isaac David Sasser.
Services for Ray will be held Saturday April 30, 2016 at 2PM at HERITAGE FUNERAL CARE, 34 W. Main St., Knightstown IN. Friends may visit from 12PM until time of service with Pastor Greg Isaacs to preside. Memorial contributions in memory of Ray may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Barrick Family would like to thank the Community North Cancer Center for the wonderful care they gave Ray. Heritage Funeral Care is honored to serve the Barrick Family.
