Obituary for Reginald Norman "Reggie" Leisure

Reginald Norman "Reggie"  Leisure
Reginald “Reggie” Norman Leisure Sr., 71, of Knightstown, passed away at home peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Saturday, August 12, 2017.

He was born on July 18, 1946 in New Castle, a son of the late Norman E. and DeLois (Scott) Leisure.

Reggie served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 – 1971 on the USS Hunley during Vietnam. He was stationed in Guam and detailed as the mail carrier for the sailors. He married the love of his life, Jackie (Yeager) Leisure, on April 23, 1977. Reggie and Jackie recently celebrated 40 years together. He was a hard-working family man, very generous and always willing to help. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, camping and mowing his yard.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jackie Leisure; four sons, Reggie (wife: Rochelle) Leisure Jr., Clinton (wife: Amy) Leisure, Jeremy Leisure and Jon Leisure, all of Knightstown; 10 grandchildren; brother, Thomas Leisure and sister, Leah Brownfield.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Care with Rev. Merv Kilmer officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery with military honors.

Friends may call from 4 – 8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Rosary/Prayers with Father John Hall at 7:30.
