Obituary for James Andrew "Jim" Dismore

James Andrew "Jim"  Dismore
James Andrew “Jim” Dismore, 49, of West Linn, Oregon, died on the morning of February 13, 2018 at Legacy Hopewell Hospice in Portland, Oregon, following a valiant four-year battle with cancer.

He was born on December 7, 1968 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of Richard and Sue (Thompson) Dismore.

To know Jim was to love Jim. His greatest joys in life were his children, Hunter and Julia. Jim was passionate about God, his family, his friends, and everything having to do with hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. He will be remembered for his deep compassion, gentleness, faith, courage, love, intelligence, sense of humor, and loyalty.

Those left to cherish Jim’s memory include his children, Hunter and Julia Dismore of California; his mother, Sue Dismore of Oregon; two brothers, Mike Dismore of Texas and Guy Dismore of Florida and his two sisters, Susan Cihak of Oregon and Jennifer Dismore of Florida.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dismore.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2018 at Indiana Funeral Care - Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, with Rev. Tom Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Carthage, Indiana.

Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service Friday at Indiana Funeral Care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown, Indiana.
