Gerald Dean "G"  Parkhurst
Known to all of his friends as “Soup” & “G”, Gerald Dean Parkhurst passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2019 in his home surrounded by loved ones, following a short battle with cancer.

Gerald was born September 10, 1959 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of Shirley (Nicholas) Clark.

He grew up in New Castle and attended school there. He married the love of his life, Vicki Lynn Bailey on May 17, 1986. G worked 10 years at the Indiana State Museum and five years at Indiana DNR. For many years he worked in construction and was currently a cabinet maker at Richeson Cabinets in Greenwood, Indiana.

The loves of G’s life were his wife, mother, daughter, granddaughters, family, friends and his fur babies. His passions in life included fishing and camping, watching wrestling and fights, having parties and get togethers and spending time on his boat.

Those left to cherish G’s loving memory include his mother, Shirley Clark of New Castle, his loving wife of 32 years, Vicki Lynn Parkhurst; daughter, Elizabeth Bailey of Knightstown; three granddaughters, Jordon Bailey (boyfriend: Tyler Bell) of New Castle, Makaela Bailey and Olivia Bailey both of Knightstown; an aunt, Frances Madden of Hudson, FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Anne Baker of New Castle; mother-in-law, Beulah Lodge of Knightstown; aunt, Jo (husband: Cecil) Hammond of Spiceland; uncle, Jerry Nicholas of Spiceland and two cousins, Jack Hammond of Indianapolis and Steve Hammond of Carmel.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Care with Pastor Jim Becker officiating.

Friends may call from 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
