For me, Dick was who I literally 'looked-up-to' ... especially while playing in the North Salem band, when I marched next to him [with me as a much shorter 3rd grader ... !! Each time I traveled by the former Speedway High School's football field [next to Lynhurst Ave], I always remembered that marching contest ... [in 1953] ... with the difficulty in keeping up to pace, but with Dick striding next to me! Such a Great Memory .. and one I'll never forget .. !! AND, of course, with the memories I have distinctly with classmate, Paul, all enrich my life's memories of the Davidson Family!
